3. Non-Custodial Nature of the Service (Important)

PayonLocal is a non-custodial crypto payment gateway.

We do not store, control, or manage any wallet private keys, seed phrases, or recovery phrases.

Merchants are solely responsible for creating, securing, and managing their own cryptocurrency wallets.

PayonLocal cannot access, recover, freeze, reverse, or transfer funds on behalf of merchants.

⚠️ If a merchant’s wallet is hacked, compromised, lost, or misused, PayonLocal bears no responsibility or liability for any resulting loss of funds.

4. Scope of Services

PayonLocal provides tools to:

Generate invoices and payment requests

Display payment addresses or QR codes

Detect and report blockchain transaction status

Send payment notifications and webhooks

Provide APIs for integration

PayonLocal does not:

Act as a bank, financial institution, or escrow service

Guarantee transaction confirmations

Reverse or refund cryptocurrency payments

Control blockchain networks or miners/validators

5. Merchant Responsibilities

You agree that you are solely responsible for:

Securing your wallets, private keys, and credentials

Verifying wallet addresses used with PayonLocal

Managing and withdrawing funds received

Ensuring compliance with tax, reporting, and regulatory obligations

Ensuring your business activities are lawful in all applicable jurisdictions

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not use PayonLocal for:

Illegal activities, fraud, or money laundering

Terrorist financing

Sanctions violations

Scams, phishing, or deceptive practices

Any activity that violates applicable laws or third-party rights

PayonLocal may suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited activities.

7. Cryptocurrency Risks (Risk Disclosure)

You acknowledge that:

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible

Blockchain networks may experience delays, congestion, or failures

Prices of cryptocurrencies are highly volatile

Losses may occur due to user error, third-party wallet issues, or network conditions
